Memories from high school:
Not really sure what to say here. For the most part, I was there but really on the peripheral sphere only. I look back and see that I did little to enhance my life then but rather spent it just existing. I began to open my eyes in college and it really became apparent when the job hit. From that point forward, I found myself focused on being successful and did whatever was necessary to get to the next level. However, after 15 years of this, I realized that I was missing the most important things in life which was my wife and family. It is the little things that make the difference such as getting up in the morning on the weekend making coffee for your partner. It is watching your son as a sophmore being selected to start as QB mid-season for homeocoming while the team has lost every game up to that point only to win the teams first game in a thrilling ending. Everyone has experienced this sort of thing one way or another. It is just being able to recognize this is life and these are the good things that you just can't continue to mis out on.
As for school, I truly enjoyed the companionship of a number of people but without a doubt, I certainly enjoyed the friendship of Jeff Dahlman. We both lived on the wrong side of the tracks and we both enjoyed hanging out together. I have many memories there but the most amazing thing is how successful so many of you have become.
Enjoy your time together. :-)
